We received a laptop in September 2007 through the 2007 IBM Technology Grant Program.  The new laptop is used with other laptops IBM donated through the 2006 IBM Technology Grant Program to speed our response time to client requests for financial assistance, provide documentation of the extent of a disaster's devastation and significantly decrease the incidence of fraudulent claims.  With a trained disaster volunteer force of over 250 local residents, last year we provided relief to nearly 200 families that were victims of residential fires.  Technology such as that provided by IBM enables us to serve our clients effectively and efficiently.  We are grateful to IBM for their continued support of our chapter - and the community we serve.

When a disaster strikes, the American Red Cross provides shelter, food, and health and mental health services -- helping individuals and families resume their normal daily activities. The Red Cross also offers training in life-saving skills such as CPR, first aid and water safety to the public and provides emergency communication to U.S. military members and their families. The Red Cross is also the largest supplier of blood and blood products in the United States.

Individual Donations

There are many ways you can give to the American Red Cross Central North Carolina Chapter and make our community a healthier, safer place to live.  We accept donations made by check, automatic bank draft, stocks and mutual funds and planned gifts.  You can also make a pledge to the Central North Carolina Chapter and we will send you pledge reminders.  If you’d like to send in your gift by mail, simply complete the gift form and mail it to us.

Tribute Gifts
If you would like to designate your gift in honor or in memory of someone, please let us know. An acknowledgement card will be sent to the honoree/family notifying them of your thoughtful gift.

Matching Gifts 
Your gift could be matched dollar for dollar! Many companies offer matching gift programs that will double, even triple a donation's value. Check with your company or visit this online directory of matching gift companies to find out if your company will match your contribution to the American Red Cross. If you have questions about your company's matching gift program, please contact your personnel office.
Once you have determined that your company matches donations made to the Red Cross, obtain the appropriate form from your personnel/human resources office and send or deliver it with a copy of your gift receipt to us

Please be sure to complete the entire donor portion of the form and to include a copy of your gift receipt (if available). If you would like to designate the gift to a specific disaster, please indicate that on the form.
