Babysitters Training Summer Camp

Summer 2008 camp season is over. Please check back in early 2009 for Summer '09 camps! Or, consider our one-day Babysitter's Training classes.

Age Group: 11 to 15.
Length of Camp: 4- and 5 days.
Cost: $145 for four days; $175 for five days.
Times: 9am-3pm every day except Thursdays, which are 10am-3pm.
Location: American Red Cross, 4737 University Dr, Durham, NC 27707. On Thursdays, camp held at Edison Johnson Aquatic Center, 600 W Murray Ave, Durham, NC 27704.

This is a day camp, so students will need transportation and lunch every day.

Limited full or partial scholarships are available for youth who cannot afford to attend.

You will learn:

  • Safety and Safe Play
  • Basic Child Care
  • Infant and Child CPR
  • First Aid
  • Water Safety
  • Disaster Preparedness
  • Pet Safety and First Aid (five-day camps only)

  • Babysitters Handbook
  • Water Safety Handbook
  • Disaster Preparedness Information
  • Babysitters Backpack with First Aid kit inside
  • Certificates in Babysitting, Child and Infant CPR, First Aid, and Water Safety

  • Dog or Cat First Aid book
